Hello Pandakekok9, I am an ex-student of this school. I emailed a sir from my school to give me some of these pictures and then my sir gave me two of these pictures and the complete copyright of the use. So the year 2020 is given.
--202.83.126.241 08:30, 3 June 2020 (UTC)
@Pandakekok9: Of course, these two pictures were taken a long time ago. One of the teachers of the school took the picture at that time. I can't say exactly when it was taken. I ask my teacher about the copyright holder of this photo. Then he tells me there is no copyright holder. The picture was under him. He also told me that "I give you full permission and rights to use Wikipedia". --202.83.126.241 18:13, 3 June 2020 (UTC)
- Is this "one of the teachers of the school took the picture" the same as the teacher you asked? And your teacher is wrong about "there is no copyright holder". Every country in the world considers the photographer as the copyright holder of the photograph, unless the copyright has been transferred to another person. Either case, we still need permission from the photographer. If the photographer is dead and the copyright wasn't transferred while they were alive, then the copyright is automatically transferred to their heirs (usually their children). Can you ask the photographer or their heirs to send an email to the OTRS team? pandakekok9 01:39, 4 June 2020 (UTC)
@Pandakekok9: It can be said that these pictures were taken before 2000. In a country like Bangladesh, the camera thing was like a luxury product at that time. So at that time there was no digital camera. And not everyone understands about copyright, even though people still understand less about this. This picture was taken by a sir from the school and I took the picture from that sir, he has all the old pictures of the school. In fact, Sir has saved these by himself.--202.83.126.241 19:41, 5 June 2020 (UTC)
- I see. In Bangladeshi copyright law, copyright protection for photographs expire 60 years after the date of first publication. So unless we can prove that those pictures were published (note that the date when it was taken and the date of publication are not always the same, a photograph may be taken in 1971 for example then publish it for the first time in 1979) before 1960, you will have to ask your teacher to send an email to the OTRS team. The OTRS volunteers might ask him for proof that they are the photographer, like negatives. Once he sends an email, let me know, so that I can add a template stating that OTRS permission has been sent and make it easier for our OTRS volunteers to verify it. And by the way, no need to ping me here on my talk page, since every message written here (as long as it is not marked as a "minor edit") gives me a notification. :) pandakekok9 01:19, 6 June 2020 (UTC)
@Pandakekok9: It is not published anywhere. Well, if we take a family photo, do we publish it somewhere? I mailed to Sir yesterday about this. Sir said he will mail in time.--202.83.126.249 05:36, 6 June 2020 (UTC)

Stop messing with syntax. This is your final warning. — Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me 20:16, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
- I beg your pardon? How am I messing with the syntax, when I'm actually fixing it for the sake of accessibility? If you're that determined to revert my fixes, fine, but don't blame me when blind users ask you why the heck your messages look broken to them. pandakekok9 02:05, 17 December 2020 (UTC)
- Now you can't excuse yourself from complying with en:MOS:LISTGAP by claiming that you are only following the instructions of COM:AN/V on creating a report, as I easily fixed the preload code. Even if I didn't fix that preload, you could've done us all a favor by just removing the linebreak between the signature and the end of the reason parameter, instead of making a lame excuse. pandakekok9 02:19, 17 December 2020 (UTC)

IP Gaming
An IP user is attacking me in his IP and anonymously.
He need to delete all those related to Ezaha caste which I have uploaded. For this reason he is trying to delete all my works coming in IP than in his original account , thinking he will be blocked.
You can find the recent history of these works :
https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=File:A_Thiyyar_Moopan_Painting.jpg&action=history
This IP user was vandalising the Kalaripayattu article , due to this page has been protected , you can see the discussions here :
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Kalaripayattu
He has been blocked from editing certain pages in Wikipedia.
He is doing the same things here also.
IP : 157.44.165.4 and he is coming with anonymous VPN IP also.
I have provided enough references for my works but this destructive editor is a headache for everyone , in Wikipedia pages he has been blocked.
I'm a new user, please help me in this problem. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Othayoth shankaran (talk • contribs) 06:11, 26 December 2020 (UTC)
- This Othayoth shankaran and numerous other accounts of this user has been blocked in English Wikipedia as a sockpuppet of User:Adhithya Kiran Chekaver, who is the secretary of Thiyya Mahasabha (an association of Thiyya caste people), who has been editing Wikipedia and other sister projects with multiple accounts only for promoting his own caste and for defaming other castes. The community has identified him as harmful to the project and all his accounts has been indefinitely blocked. He has also been indefinitely topic banned by the Arbitration Committee against editing castes, ethnic content, and Kerala related topics, but currently editing the same topic in a different project. In Commons he has been uploading copyright violated images and numerous of his images has already been deleted. 2409:4073:4E03:82EC:25DD:217C:566F:CB6 06:54, 26 December 2020 (UTC)
- No, the images is deleted by the ip user citing some false claims, which in initial days i was unaware of fighting these vandals. This ip user is into disruptive editing for a long on wikipedia article kalaripayattu. He has been blocked frok editing the article afterwards. This user is not coming in his account to escape block. I'm a registered user and has been contributing to wikimedia.
The personal attacks on me, as I'm some so and so president of an organization is so fatal baseless claim. This shouldn't be allowed here and this vandal has to take down.
I don't know how to fight these ip vandals.
May be he has some hatred towards a particular community, the edits shows that he is from pulayar caste, may be that is his hatred towards a particular community who was in mich progressive position than the former.
He is claiming false allegations and baseless claims on photos related to ezhava community.
He is even reported for ip vandalism in wikipedia and blocked in editing kalaripayattu wikipedia article. He even made false claim on my kalaripayattu related photos
He is playing the same ip vandalism here too.
I'm a new user and he is an experience vandal, please help me. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Othayoth shankaran (talk • contribs) 08:09, 26 December 2020 (UTC)

- Damn, I thought the notifications are overdue holiday greetings from my colleagues. Turns out it's not. :(
@IP: English Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons are different projects, so stop importing drama from enwiki. And stop your disruption here. Use deletion requests instead of speedy deletion templates. @Othayoth shankaran: If they still continue to disrupt here, feel free to report them to COM:AN/U. Thanks, pandakekok9 08:51, 26 December 2020 (UTC)
- LOL. Othayoth shankaran: Come to your senses, and stop making bogus allegation against other editors. The community has clearly identified you as a communalist vandal disrupting Wikipedia and indefinitely blocked you and even topic banned.
- citing some false claims: First of all, images will not have been deleted if it weren't copyright violated. They are not dumb as you. Administrators identified your copyright violation and removed it. You even shamelessly uploaded a $65,000 priced painting of Unniyarcha as your "own work". LOL. That's the kind of fraud you are.
- wikipedia article kalaripayattu. He has been blocked frok editing the article afterwards: False claim, I am not blocked, on the contrary, he was blocked indefinitely along with his other socks. Page Kalaripayattu is now ECP protected specifically citing "persistent sockpuppetry from Adhithya Kiran Chekaver".
- This user is not coming in his account to escape block. : Bogus allegation. Prove that.
- president of an organization is so fatal baseless claim: Another lie, you yourself said that in Wikipedia (source). The Wikipedia administrators have also labelled you as communalist vandal promoting your own caste Thiyya and defaming others.
- edits shows that he is from pulayar caste, may be that is his hatred towards a particular community who was in mich progressive position than the former: This alone shows you are a filthy communalist and racist. Funny part is this comes from a self-identified Thiyya who are classified by the government as "Other Backward Community". Since you are editing Wikiprojects only for promoting your own caste and defaming others you think others are also editing for the same. You don't know what caste I am or I have a caste at all. So stop your racist slur.
- He is claiming false allegations and baseless claims on photos related to ezhava community.: Yeah, that's why they were deleted by admins for copyright violation. LOL.
- He is even reported for ip vandalism in wikipedia and blocked in editing kalaripayattu wikipedia article. He even made false claim on my kalaripayattu related photos: Next bogus lie. I was NOT blocked, in the contrary YOU were indefinitely blocked. That page itself is now Extended-Confirmed Protected citing Persistent sock puppetry from Adhithya Kiran Chekavar, that is YOU.
- He is playing the same ip vandalism here too. : You first stop logged-out editing from 1.39.76.0/22 range. You are also vandalising movie related articles.
- Your user page description itself is false and deceptive. Your propaganda and lies are not going to work on Wikimedia and on their veteran editors. So stop wasting others time and spamming their talk pages. No one is going to heed your lies. You may be a clown but don't think others are too. 2409:4073:4D9A:D129:E517:CBB1:A9D4:B7AB 10:22, 28 December 2020 (UTC)

Ip is not a scok
Ip 1.39.76.234, you mentioned in check user is not a check user.
I'm editing from phone and that day i was constantly monitoring the page of my works. I didn't kept the option 'keep me logged in' while logging in so was in logged out.
So when suddenly i found that vandal has again nominated for speedy deletion without any reason, i have reverted it. Then i noticed i was in logged out mode. So my ip appeared there.
You cannot find the ip anywhere where i have done any edits in logged out mode.
So i request you to remove the ip from check user investigation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Othayoth shankaran (talk • contribs) 14:31, 13 January 2021 (UTC)
Adminship
Hi. I think you will make a good admin on Commons. Would you like me to open an RFA for you? 4nn1l2 (talk) 19:34, 15 January 2021 (UTC)
- @4nn1l2: Hello, thanks for the message. I'm indeed interested in adminship, but I fear that I will just fail this RfA again. I mean if you could see above (the IP Gaming section), others might see that nothing have changed on my behaviour. I must admit that I was too harsh on that IP above. Getting involved in a conflict between users while it's the holiday season is not what I like at all. And you know what I felt when I saw the "you have a new message" notification on December 26? I was excited, thinking that someone finally messaged me some holiday greetings, just like the 2016 days. Then disappointment, and frustration. I just want to hope that the users who will evaluate me on my RfA would understand why I acted like that there.
And after all, this will be the third time I will apply for sysop. There will probably be users who will frown upon users who failed their RfA at least two times. It's not as bad as Fae and Jeff G., but I'm still worried. If GreenMeansGo (who offered an evaluation after a few months the RfA ended) and Green Giant (who would support me after six months of good editing) agree that I should go for admin, then consider me in. I just need to be sure that I have the support from the two, because that would mean I have a good chance of getting elected. I don't want to get disheartened again by another failed RfA... pandakekok9 02:23, 16 January 2021 (UTC)

Question about source
Hi Pandakekok9, thanks for taking care of my maps. I appreciate. I provided additional information for a couple of maps where this was missing. For https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Villages_where_varieties_of_North-Eastern_Neo-Aramaic_are_spoken.png, I provided extra information, but the warning won't go away. Could I ask you to have a look? Jasy jatere (talk) 17:23, 19 January 2021 (UTC)
- @Jasy jatere: I removed the tag, but are you sure that you created File:Villages where varieties of North-Eastern Neo-Aramaic are spoken.png? It looks identical to page 15 (or 39 in terms of papers) of the PDF source. pandakekok9 01:14, 20 January 2021 (UTC)
Inviting you to join the Universal Code of Conduct consultation on Wikimedia Commons!
Dear Pandakekok9,
Thank you for your hard work to create the sum of all knowledge that is freely sharable to every single human being across the world. As our diverse community grows, we need a guideline that will help all of our work collectively and constructively where everyone feels safe, welcomed, and part of a team. That is why the Wikimedia movement is working on establishing a global guideline called the Universal Code of Conduct, often referred to as UCoC.
After the months-long policy consultation, we have prepared a draft policy (available in many languages). We’re currently in the second phase of the process. During this round of consultation, we want to discuss the implementation of this policy. We want to hear from you on how this policy can be enforced on the Wikimedia Commons community and what might be needed to do so.
The discussion is taking place on Commons:Universal Code of Conduct consultation. You can also share your thoughts by replying to this message (Please ping me so I get notified), posting your message on my talk page. I am perfectly aware that some thoughts cannot be expressed publicly, so you can always share your opinion by emailing me as well.
As a valued member of the Commons community, please share your thoughts, ideas, and experiences that relate to UCoC. Let us know what needs to be improved so we can build a more friendly and cooperative space to increase editor engagement and retention of new users.
Wikimedia projects are governed by you. So, it is you who needs to step up to ensure a safe, comfortable, and pleasant working environment.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you! Wikitanvir (WMF) (talk) 11:17, 22 January 2021 (UTC)
- Hi pandakekok9, I see that you commented on the consultation page. Thank you for that! I would like to inform you that we have a few basic enforcement questions on the consultation page I would like you to take a look and answer when you have some time. Please do not hesitate to bring any issue that you think is important or we should cover while enforcing UCoC. Thank you! Wikitanvir (WMF) (talk) 10:43, 5 February 2021 (UTC)

Hello panda, this week I received an answer from our Ministry of Environment, expressing their open authorisation for publishing this image (mentioning it was part of a public document in which they don't add a restriction for publishing it for academic purposes like in Wikipedia/media). And I wanted to send it to Wikimedia now, aiming to maintain it published, but it's already gone. Can you suggest how to recover it, and how should I inform Wikimedia about this? Thank you! --Grasshopper (talk) 13:11, 28 January 2021 (UTC)
- @FMontecito: Cool, thanks. You can ask an admin to restore it at COM:UDR. Tell the ministry to send an email to the OTRS team, confirming the permission. pandakekok9 03:26, 29 January 2021 (UTC)

@Pandakekok9: Please delete this image https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Pribadi.png--Paolus Hadi (talk) 02:36, 1 February 2021 (UTC)
- @Paolus Hadi: Not an admin, sorry. Please wait for someone who is a sysop to notice it. The speedy deletion tags should be enough. pandakekok9 02:38, 1 February 2021 (UTC)
Regarding COM:ANU comment
Hi, Pandakekok9. Regarding this I prefer to answer anywhere else rather than COM:ANU, as otherwise I have to expect toxic comments on whatever I try to explain. Your suggestion to voluntarily reconfirmation is fair, and in general I'm open for criticism (not to confuse with hostility though). I don't know anymore what exactly Fastily did, this seems rather long ago, so not sure it still may serve as relevant example. Reconfirmations of admins is not a bad idea in general, and of course not necessarily a waste of time. On one WP version I'm familiar with, a compulsory reconfirmation is only possible via Arbcom decision and voluntary reconfirmations are extremely uncommon and considered as "waste of time" by many. On an other WP there are compulsory reconfirmations on demand (if 25 regular users within a month or 50 within six months demand reconfirmation, this admin has to start it within next month, otherwise the flag will be removed). Here on Commons we have neither an arbcom nor compulsory reconfirmations. Maybe we should -- by now I have the impression that there are only few real regulars for such an important project, uttermost come here merely to upload something, even most regulars like myself are non-native English speakers, thus limited communication skills; that's most likely the reasons why the core community is so small. But that's indeed an interesting question and I'm open for that. In theory, I could run a voluntary reconfirmation any time; but as said, we don't have enough examples and I'm not the one who "just goes ahead" and makes myself a "guinea pig". Right now it's not a good moment anyway due to heated-up discussions, though should a compulsory desysop be started, I most likely would let it go until the end and not cowardly stop and resign after one day or so. There is of course always a possibility to resign, take a break, and then regularly run for adminship at a later timepoint. I consider such option sometimes; but whereas some people are used to see only negative aspects of myself having the flag, most work is still done in the background, and that's what not all people can notice. We have only few Russian admins, I can translate into English, response on requests quickly, and it's a fact (an unpleasant one, I have to say) that most Russian people do not speak any language other than Russian. So there should always be a couple of Russian admins on Commons, if someone needs help. For example, as recently as today I had to help to rev-delete some files and contact an OS for a Russian wikipedian, who was detained for 12h or so by the police at 23 Jan protests -- the only "crime" he committed was making photos of the protests and the police violence in his city in order to upload them on Commons for Wikimedia projects. It's of course possible that he also would have been helped by an other admin as quickly, but who knows? Maybe yes, but maybe not, if I had resigned before. Of course, those three people most active on COM:ANU cannot and will not know these sides. No matter the arguments, though I always prefer to discuss. (I don't know their motivation and probably never will learn, but I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out that their hostile behaviour towards me has political reasons.) Regarding "K.", as I've already explained, this has gone too far and I withdraw my attention for the time being. I had fixed their edits (and yes, rollbacked) to the best of my knowledge and belief, I still think so, but as it turns out, even some things that may be correct for the sake of Commons, are not always good for my health; so sometimes better to let it be. So "K." perhaps is not THE problem at the moment, and all what happened regarding 1989 happened merely because of interactions with "K.". Otherwise they are really of no interest to me. As said, I will maybe consider reconfirmation at some later point, if the situation is more relaxed and cool; but I wish someone to set a good example (and C.F. is not a good example for me, after all the history...); we have by the way sysops who have been sysop even much longer than me, without any break and/or reconfirmation. And should someone go ahead and make a proposal for automatic and/or demanded reconfirmations... well, he/she is perfectly free to do that, and if the community supports, fine with me. Sorry for longer comment --A.Savin 21:23, 1 February 2021 (UTC)

A query
When a user is caught for abuse, specifically for sockpuppetry, is there any policy applicable on Wikimedia commons to take away all of his contributions (image uploads)?. If do please let me know. Outlander07 (talk) 15:16, 5 July 2021 (UTC)
- No, there is not, and there was a discussion proposing this before, which was rejected by consensus. Files can only be deleted when they violate other policies, like COM:L and also qualify for other criteria in COM:CSD. pandakekok9 03:18, 6 July 2021 (UTC)
We need your feedback!
Hello. Apologies if this message is not in your native language: please feel free to respond in the language of your choice. Thank you!
I am writing to you because we are looking for feedback for a new Wikimedia Foundation project, Structured Data Across Wikimedia (SDAW). SDAW is a grant-funded programme that will explore ways to structure content on wikitext pages in a way that will be machine-recognizable and -relatable, in order to make reading, editing, and searching easier and more accessible across projects and on the Internet. We are now focusing on designing and building image suggestion features for experienced users.
We have some questions to ask you about your experience with uploading images here on Wikimedia Commons and then adding them to Wikipedia. You can answer these questions on a specific feedback page on Mediawiki, where we will gather feedback. As I said, these questions are in English, but your answers do not need to be in English! You can also answer in your own language, if you feel more comfortable.

Nomination for autopatrol
Hi. Thanks for nominating me for the autopatrol rights! Cheers :) -- DaxServer (talk) 13:40, 26 August 2021 (UTC)
Let me say something...
So @Pandakekok9: and @King of Hearts: , remember Pandakekok9 you posted Problem with Tags on my talk page. One of the files for amazon logo, you all said its not a Speedy Delete, right? So let me clarify..... Amazon.com quotes You cannot use any Amazon Marks on your website or blog except in very specific circumstances as outlined in the Trademark Guidelines section of the Amazon Associates Program Policies].. If you read this amazon article carefully, they mention YOU ARE ALLOWED TO USE THE AMAZON MARKS ONLY BY DISPLAY ON YOUR SITE WITH THE PURPOSE OF ADVERTISING AVAILABILITY OF PRODUCTS ON AN AMAZON SITE, WITH A CORRESPONDING SPECIAL LINK TO THAT SITE.(in caps because it originally was). When the company explains that this image can't be used for anything and only specific files can be used for only advertising, how cannot this be speedy deleted. --Contributers2020Talk to me here 04:33, 1 September 2021 (UTC)
- If you all just forgotten what happened, [is the file] and [is the message on the talk page]. --Contributers2020Talk to me here 04:36, 1 September 2021 (UTC)
- @Contributers2020: Are you serious? KOH told you that it's a trademark restriction, not a copyright one. That's exactly why you got blocked; you don't know the difference between copyright and trademark. Have you even read COM:NCR before trying to lecture me here? pandakekok9 04:37, 1 September 2021 (UTC)
- Do note that Commons only uses Amazon's logo for educational and archival purposes. We don't disparage or misrepresent our relationship with Amazon (which is none). So we are not in violation of their trademark policy. Their restrictive trademark guidelines don't violate our licensing policy either, as it's not a copyright restriction. pandakekok9 04:41, 1 September 2021 (UTC)
- @Pandakekok9: 1. Why don't we understand! This image doesn't contain Simple shapes. 2) That's the problem! We use amazon's logo for educational and archival purposes rather than advertisement purposed which violates Amazon's Terms of Service.--Contributers2020Talk to me here 04:49, 1 September 2021 (UTC)
- @Contributers2020: Since it seems your position is set in stone, and ain't willing to learn, I don't think I can persuade you any further. Even a very patient Cyndaquil has his limits. Please don't talk to me ever again. P.S. I suggest getting an American lawyer. They would most likely tell you that Commons is not in the wrong here. pandakekok9 04:57, 1 September 2021 (UTC)

Steve Parker
I have uploaded a photograph of a signed permission for Avocet Creative to use the images and edit content for Steve Parker on Wikipedia. Thank you! AvocetCreative (talk) 13:54, 2 September 2021 (UTC)
- @AvocetCreative: Unfortunately that's not what I'm looking for, sorry. "For Wikipedia use" is not enough, as we also require files here to be free for any use. That includes unlimited redistribution, modification (and redistribution of the modified work), commercial, etc. He can add some restrictions of course, like requiring attribution and copyleft, but none of those restrictions must affect redistribution, modification, and commercial use. You and Steve can read our licensing policy for more details.
By the way, I think it would be better if you ask him to send an email to the VRT team instead and send his permission there. I suggest that he use the the Interactive Release Generator to make the job easier. Make sure he have read and understood whatever free license (like the Creative Commons Attribution Share-Alike 4.0) he is going to use though. pandakekok9 02:29, 3 September 2021 (UTC)
Hi
Hello, it's been a problem. I hope you are not angry Shariar 375 (talk) 06:52, 16 September 2021 (UTC)
- @Shariar 375: No need to worry. I just want you to learn about our policy on licensing here on Commons, which is strict. I'm a fan of photos of military equipment, but we really don't want to risk getting sued by the copyright holders. Which is why we are telling you to either provide us evidence of permission from the copyright holder, or ask them instead. I hope you understand. pandakekok9 06:56, 16 September 2021 (UTC)
It's okay. By the way, I am from Bangladesh. You are from which part of Philippines?? Shariar 375 (talk) 07:01, 16 September 2021 (UTC)
I'm 19 years old. Shariar 375 (talk) 07:01, 16 September 2021 (UTC)
