Getting help

More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump.

Goodies, tips, and tricks

Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities.
You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads.
Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~.
To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg.
You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account.
There are several tools to upload files.
Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful.

Made a mistake?

Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it.

Wiki Loves Earth 2017 - Danke, und wie geht es weiter?[edit]

Hallo GPSLeo,

vielen Dank für Deine Teilnahme am Fotowettbewerb Wiki Loves Earth Deutschland. Damit hast Du ein Stück Natur in Deiner Region dokumentiert und Wikipedia geholfen, andere darüber zu informieren.

Dieses Jahr wurden 24.000 Fotos eingereicht, im vorigen Jahr waren es noch 18.000. Bei der Teilnehmerzahl (1063) wurde der Rekord vom Vorjahr nur knapp verpasst.

Um die große Zahl von Bildern angemessen zu bewältigen, suchen wir weitere Helfer für die Vorjury, zum Kategorisieren oder zum Einfügen der Bilder in die Artikel und Listen der Wikipedia.

Eine Jury wird Anfang Juli auf einer Sitzung in Fulda die besten Bilder auswählen. Nach dem Zeitplan sollen die Top100 am 15. Juli 2017 veröffentlicht werden. Kurz danach werden die Gewinner benachrichtigt.

Wir möchten auf Wiki Loves Earth Biosphere Reserves hinweisen. Bei diesem Wettbewerb können bis Ende Juni Bilder von Biosphärenreservaten aus aller Welt eingereicht werden. Selbstverständlich darf man das ganze Jahr über Bilder zu beliebigen Themen bei Wikimedia Commons hochladen, nicht nur wenn ein Wettbewerb läuft...

Wiki Loves Earth 2018[edit]

Hallo GPSLeo,

vom 1. bis 31. Mai 2018 können beim Fotowettbewerb Wiki Loves Earth Deutschland wieder Landschafts- und Naturfotos eingereicht werden. Sie sollen in Schutzgebieten aufgenommen worden sein. Wir würden uns freuen, wenn Du auch dieses Jahr mitmachst.

Für die Suche nach Motiven gibt es bei Wikipedia zahlreiche Listen, als Einstiegsseite kann diese Karte dienen.

Als ehemaliger Teilnehmer kannst Du bis Ende April bei der Wahl der Jury abstimmen.

Da viele tausend Bilder zu bewerten sind, wird die sogenannte Vorjury ab Anfang Mai eine Vorauswahl der eingereichten Bilder übernehmen. Deine Beteiligung daran ist ausdrücklich erwünscht. Bei Interesse trage Dich bitte unter WLE-Vorjury ein, das Passwort kommt dann per E-Mail.

Wiki Loves Earth 2018[edit]

Hallo GPSLeo,

im Namen von Organisationsteam und Jury danke ich Dir für Deine Teilnahme bei Wiki Loves Earth Deutschland.

Im Jahr 2018 wurden ebenso wie im Vorjahr etwa 24.000 Fotos hochgeladen, von denen viele die Artikel und Listen der Wikipedia illustrieren werden. Die Teilnehmerzahl lag diesmal bei 683, im Vorjahr waren es 1063.

Unsere Jury hat die Top100 der Bilder aus Deutschland ausgewählt. Die zehn bestplatzierten Fotos nehmen an der internationalen Ausscheidung teil.

Falls Du Lust auf einen weiteren Fotowettbewerb hast: Im September läuft Wiki Loves Monuments, wo Bilder von denkmalgeschützten Gebäuden eingereicht werden können.

Boathouse in Berlin-Konradshöhe[edit]

Mit dem Bootshaus läufst Du Spießroute in QI. Aufgenommen wurde das mit einer Spitzen-Cam nur die BEA ist so irgendwie Gimp. Mich hat die S-Version der GH5 mal selber interessiert. „Unbekannte Orte“[edit]

Hallo Leo,

bei den Bildern, die du eben zurückgesetzt hast, fehlte die Ortsteilkategorie. Daher wurden sie in Unidentified locations in Berlin einsortiert. Habe die Kategorie nun eingetragen. Bitte prüfe in Zukunft, ob die Bilder auch entsprechend kategorisiert sind, bevor die sie aus der Unidentified locations-Kategorie entfernst.

Das eine Ortsteilkategorie fehlt ist das eine. Dafür ist Category:Unidentified locations in Berlin aber nicht da, in diese Kategorie kommen, wie der Name schon sagt, unidentifizierte oder unbekannte Orte, was korrekt geokodierte Dateien per Definition ausschließt. --GPSLeo (talk) 22:33, 18 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@MB-one: Du hast wieder ein Foto in Category:Unidentified locations in Berlin gepackt. Dieses mal ist es aber in Category:Berlin-Hakenfelde.

Es ist File:Waldweg entlang der Industriebahn Hakenfelde 20150719 24.jpg, dass über Category:Trails in Spandauer Forst in Category:Spandauer Forst in Category:Berlin-Hakenfelde ist.

Presentations / Press / Events

Presentation by Keegan on the first features to be released for Structured Data, presented at Wikiconference North America, Columbus, Ohio, October 2018.
Sandra presented a project update at the GLAM-Wiki conference in Tel Aviv, Israel, November 2018, as part of an update and panel discussion.
Structured Data on Commons was the subject of a keynote presentation by Sandra (see slides) at the Baltic Audiovisual Archives Council conference in Tallinn, Estonia, November 2018.

Partners and allies

The info portal on Structured Commons now includes a section on GLAM (Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums).
We are currently planning the first GLAM pilot projects that will use structured data on Wikimedia Commons. One project has already started: the Swedish Heritage Board researches and develops a prototype tool to provide improved metadata (translations, data additions...) from Wikimedia Commons back to the source institution. Read the project brief.
The documentation for batch uploads of files to Wikimedia Commons will be improved in 2019, as part of preparing for Structured Data on Wikimedia Commons. To prepare, the GLAM team at the Wikimedia Foundation wants to understand better which types of documentation you already use, and how you like to learn new GLAM-Wiki skills and knowledge. Fill in a short survey to provide input!

Structured Data - file captions coming this week (January 2019)[edit]

Hi all, following up on last month's announcement...

Multilingual file captions will be released this week, on either Wednesday, 9 November or Thursday, 10 November 2019. Captions are a feature to add short, translatable descriptions to files. Here's some links you might want to look follow before the release, if you haven't already:

Read over the help page for using captions - I wrote the page on mediawiki.org because captions are available for any MediaWiki user, feel free to host/modify a copy of the page here on Commons.
Test out using captions on Beta Commons.
Leave feedback about the test on the captions test talk page, if you have anything you'd like to say prior to release.

Hi all, following up on last month's announcement...

Multilingual file captions will be released this week, on either Wednesday, 9 January or Thursday, 10 January 2019. Captions are a feature to add short, translatable descriptions to files. Here's some links you might want to look follow before the release, if you haven't already:

Read over the help page for using captions - I wrote the page on mediawiki.org because captions are available for any MediaWiki user, feel free to host/modify a copy of the page here on Commons.
Test out using captions on Beta Commons.
Leave feedback about the test on the captions test talk page, if you have anything you'd like to say prior to release.

Structured Data - development update, March 2019[edit]

A development update for the current work by the Structured Data on Commons team:

After the release of multilingual file captions, work began on getting depicts and other statements ready for release. These were originally scheduled for release in February and into March, however there are currently two major blockers to finishing this work (T215642, T217157). We will know more next week about when depicts and statements can likely be ready for testing and then release; until then I've tentatively updated the release schedule.

Once the depicts feature is ready for testing, it will take place in two stages on TestCommons. The first is checking the very basics; is the design comfortable, how does the simple workflow of adding/editing/removing statements work, and building up help and process pages from there. The second part is a more detailed test of depicts and other statements, checking the edge-case examples of using the features, bugs that did not come up during simple testing, etc. Additionally we'll be looking with the community for bugs in interaction with bots, gadgets, and other scripts once the features are live on Commons. Please let me know if you're interesting in helping test and fix these bugs if they show up upon release, it is really hard to find them in a test environment or, in some cases, bugs won't show up in a testing environment at all.

One new thing is definitely coming within the next few weeks, pending testing: the ability to search for captions. This is done using the inlabel keyword in search strings, and will be the first step in helping users find content that is specifically structured data. I'll post a notice when that feature is live and ready for use.

Structured Data - early depicts testing[edit]

The Structured Data on Commons development team has the very basic version of depicts statements available for early testing on Test-Commons. You can add very basic depicts statements to the file page by going into the new “Structured Data” tab located below the "Open in Media Viewer button." You can use the Latest Files link in the left side nav bar to select existing images, or use the UploadWizard to upload new ones to test with (although those images won’t actually show up on the site). The test site is not a fully functional replica of Commons, so there may be some overall problems in using the site, but you should be able to get a general idea of what using the feature is like.

Early next week I will call for broad, community-wide testing of the feature similar to what we did for Captions, with instructions for testing, known bugs, and a dedicated space to discuss the feature as well as a simple help page for using statements. Until then, you're welcome to post on the SDC talk page with what you might find while testing depicts.

vom 1. bis 31. Mai 2019 kannst Du wieder beim Fotowettbewerb Wiki Loves Earth Deutschland (WLE 2019) teilnehmen. Gesucht sind selbst aufgenommene Landschafts- und Naturfotos aus Schutzgebieten in Deutschland.

Für die Suche nach Motiven gibt es bei Wikipedia zahlreiche Listen und Karten. Als Einstieg kann diese Übersichtsseite dienen.

WLE 2019 kann nur durchgeführt werden, wenn weitere Mitarbeiter und Mitarbeiterinnen unser Team verstärken. Es geht unter anderem um die Organisation in der Wikipedia und das Sortieren der Bilder auf Commons. Über Art und Umfang der Beteiligung entscheidest Du selbst.

Wie in den Vorjahren übernimmt eine Vorjury ab Anfang Mai die Vorauswahl der Bilder. Auch daran kannst Du Dich gern beteiligen. Bei Interesse trage Dich bitte unter WLE-Vorjury ein, das Passwort kommt per E-Mail.

Besonders engagierte Freiwillige werden für die Jury benötigt. Wenn Du vom 12. bis 14. Juli in Fulda die besten Bilder küren willst, melde Dich auf der Jury-Seite.

Weil ich gesehen habe, dass du aus Spandau kommst und dort auch Gebäude fotografiert hast, wollte ich dich folgendes fragen: Ich habe mir gerade das Buch „Der Himmel unter West-Berlin“ gekauft, in dem sehr ausführlich die Werke von Rainer G. Rümmler beschrieben werden, v.a. die U-Bahnhöfe. Letztere sind ja relativ gut dokumentiert, aber viele seiner anderen Gebäude sind dies nicht. Weder in der Wikipedia, noch in Wikidata, noch auf Wikimedia Commons. Ich würde mich nun gerne demnächst um eine Werkliste Rümmlers kümmern, und wollte dich fragen, ob ich dir ein paar Gebäude in Spandau nennen könnte, die du vielleicht fotografierst. Wäre das möglich? Drohne Aufnahmen Wiki Foto wettbewerb[edit]

Guten Tag, an dem Ort wo die Fotos aufgenommen wurde ist kein Schutzgebiet. Das Schutzgebiet beginnt erst in einer Entfernung von ca 100m zum Schutzgebiet. Geprüft wurde dies mit einer Geomap welche alle Schutzgebiete zeigt. Es ist lediglich verboten direkt über Naturschutzgebiete zu fliegen, die Grenze dahin wurde jedoch nicht überschritten! Dabei können Bau- und Kulturdenkmale fotografiert und die Fotos hochgeladen werden. Du hast an einem der vergangenen Fotowettbewerbe teilgenommen. Es sind viele spannende Motive überall in Deutschland zu fotografieren. Ok. So let me show you the differences between Confirmed and Autoconfirmed. Autoconfirmed is a permanent group while Confirmed is a special group. Structured Data - computer-aided tagging[edit]

The development team is starting work on one of the last planned features for SDC v1.0, a lightweight tool to suggest depicts tags for images. I've published a project page for it, please have a look. I plan to share this page with everyone on Commons much more broadly in the coming days. The tool has been carefully designed to try to not increase any workload on Commons volunteers; for starters, it will be opt-in for auto-confirmed users only and will not generate any sort of backlog here on Commons. Additionally, the tool is highly privacy-minded for the contributors and publicly-minded for the third party being used, in this case Google. The implementation and usage notes contain more information about these and other potential concerns as a starting place. It's really important that the tool is implemented properly from the start, so feedback is welcome. Questions, comments, concerns are welcome on the talk page and I will get answers as quickly as possible as things come up. Hallo GPSLeo, danke für Deine Bildbeiträge, jedoch achte bitte darauf, Deine Bilder nicht überzukategorisieren. Wenn Du beispielsweise Bilder der Saint John the Baptist Church (Lammersdorf, Simmerath) dieser Kategorie hinzufügst, ist es überflüssig, zusätzlich auch die Kategorie Cultural heritage monuments in North Rhine-Westfalia einzustellen, da die 1. Kategorie indirekt bereits in der 2. enthalten ist. Näheres unter COM:CAT. Auch finde ich es nicht unbedingt hilfreich, etliche sich kaum unterscheidende Fotos hochzuladen. File size software[edit]

Hi! I wish the discussion re: file size hadn't yet been archived. I tried uploading the file from Japan, without a VPN, and got a "Invalid chunk offset" error. From Commons:Village_pump/Archive/2019/09#Exception_for_file_size_restriction? the file is 4.1 GB (not sure if it is above 4 GiB) and I had the Commons 4 GB limit disabled with code. I used the Upload Wizard while in Japan to try to upload the file (I am back in China, where GFW issues further complicate uploading large files). @Colin: I just saw the talk page inquiry about how I'm making the PDFs. The Rycaut book has a total of 671 pages. The resolution of each image is about 2500 x 4359 pixels. I used a Python-based program called "IMG2PDF" to uncompress each JP2 and have it in its high quality state while put into a PDF. To check the filesize I used ImageMagick to convert a JP2 to a PNG, and the filesize ballooned from 154 KB to 5,585 KB. WhisperToMe (talk) 16:16, 8 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not that familiar with JP2 or IMG2PDF but will try to help. Are you saying that the JP2 files for each individual page were only 154KB? That is really quite small. I'd expect that if the page was scanned to be mostly completely featurely white paper and high contrast, or if you used a very strong lossy compression. Do you have any examples of the JP2 files you created? Could you upload one to DropBox or similar. You can email me if you like. Why did you start with JP2 files? @Colin: I did not create the JP2s themselves, but got them off of the Internet Archive, which houses the original scans of the French version of The Present State of the Ottoman Empire (at https://archive.org/details/bub_gb_29hO1c1EkfkC/ ). Most of the original files hosted on the Internet Archive are JP2s though some use TIFFs instead. I'm not familiar with archive.org or Google Books formats but here's what I've discovered. I downloaded both the "Generic raw book tar" (containing JPEGs) and the "single page processed JP2 ZIP". The quality of the images in both is dire. This is heavily compressed and the raw size of the images (2500x4450) is imo greater than the actually resolution retained after compression. Therefore it makes zero sense to try to store these in uncompressed or lossless-compressed format. The letters on the page have the distinctive "gnats" of distortion round high-contrast edges, and visible square blocks that indicates high JPEG compression. The JP2 files are very soft blurry. The JPEG files are 2x the filesize of the JP2 files and are 1 hour earlier according to the "date modified". Based on this blog page I suspect the JPG files are actually the original downloads from Google Books and the smaller JP2 files derived from them with even higher compression. If the whole TAR file is 600MB (zipping this tar file achieves negligible saving) and the whole set of JPG2 files is 300MB then this tells us that our final PDF really should not be much larger than that -- certainly nowhere near 4GB!

Even if we thought the JPG2 files were the originals, based on this phabricator ticket it seems MediaWiki allows the upload of PDFs containing JPG2 files. But based on the date-time stamp, the blog entry and the filesize, I think actually the JPEG files are the originals. So I recommend using the JPEG files in the TAR and creating a PDF file that is not much larger than 600MB. Dein Bot addiert depict statements[edit]

Hallo, dein Bot addiert massenhaft depict statements zu dateien auf meiner beo. ohne bot flag. eigentlich ist das so nicht erlaubt und mir verunmöglicht es diese edits temporär auszublenden. Ich weiss auch nicht, wie ich diese edits dauerhaft als gesehen zu markieren, ohne jede seite zu öffnen.

Auch mit den konkreten statements habe ich problme. Die cats als strukturierte daten zu übernehmen, scheint mir nicht sinnvoll. das ist doch nur eine fortschreibung des kaputten categoriensystems. Die statements müssten doch eigentlich sein "Dyke", "berlin", "march", "2018", "datum des events", "verwendete kamera", "autor", "kooerdinaten", "veranstalter", usw. - und das alles in jeweils einem einzigen bot flag markierten edit.

Ich habe den Bottask ohne Botflag beantragt, dort wurde das nicht kritisiert. Ich kann das natürlich auch noch ändern. Zu den Statements: Ich füge aktuell nur einfache Statements hinzu. Für Autor gibt es einen anderen Bot, der wohl dabei ist alle 60Mio Dateien abzufahren. Die Aussagen wie "Dyke; march; 2018" sind hier nicht nötig sind sind ja schon im Wikidata Item zum depicts (P180). Datum und Koordinaten sind technisch aktuell nur eingeschränkt möglich. Den Ort füge ich meist nicht per Bot hinzu, da ich das eigentlich gerne Straßengenau machen will, was die Kategorie nicht abbildet. --GPSLeo (talk) 18:27, 30 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Ok. Danke! Nebenbei: Du verwendest eine Datumsschreibweise, die ähnlich wie das ISO-Datumsformat aussieht, aber nicht ist. So kann das zu Verwirrungen führen. In der Kategorie Demonstrations and protests in Berlin in 2019 sind dann beide Formate auch gemischt. Überlege dir doch bitte, ob du nicht in Zukunft nicht das ISO-Format verwenden willst. Ja, die hat auch für über 100 andere Bilder in der Kategorie funktioniert. Das hatte ich vor ein paar Wochen auch schon mal für ein einzelnes Foto. das scheint ein Fehler bei der API zu ein, die nicht korrekt zurück gibt, dass die Aussage schon existiert. Du bist der deutschen Sprache mächtig, einfacher für mich. (In der Eile hätte mir das auch so bekannt sein sollen.) Bei den strukturierten Daten achtet die Schnittstelle nicht selbst darauf, ob etwas schon da ist. Ich hatte mir einen Bot für meine Bilder geschrieben und hatte gerade zu Anfang diverse Erkenntnisse erhalten. Es ist nicht alles einfach lösbar. Das Ableiten von Kategorien setzt auf jeden Fall voraus, vorher zu schauen, ob vielleicht passende Werte da sind. Das hat dazu geführt, dass ich etliche Konfigurationsdaten pflege. Also auch so etwas, dass bei "Brandenburger Tor" nicht auch noch "Tor" gesetzt wird. Derzeit habe ich allerdings das Problem, dass es mehrere Bots gibt, die einfach setzen. Das bedeutet für mich leider immer wieder unnötigen manuellen Pflegeaufwand. Aber dein Bot kann das bestimmt auch bald. Danke! --XRay ^talk 06:14, 8 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Mein Problem ist aktuell, dass die API (zumindest in dem von mir genutzten framework mwclient) sowohl bei einem wirklichen Fehler, als auch, wenn das Bild noch keinerlei strukturierten Daten enthält den gleichen Fehler ausgibt. Was meinst du genau? Ich habe das Template von Template:Published mit den Parametern von Template:Cite web benutzt. Ich habe einfach per Hand eingetragen, was ich für relevant und ohne weiteres herauszufinden halte.

Oder meinst du wie ich herausgefunden habe, was wo genutzt wird? Da habe ich die am häufigsten gesehenen Bilder von GLAMorgan in die Google Bildersuche gepackt.(Gibt da ein Gadget mit einem Direktlink für) Und dann habe ich noch etwas nach meinem Namen gegoogelt, was auch viele Fotos von mir(also von mir, nicht von mir ;)) ausgibt. --GPSLeo (talk) 14:22, 31 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Tja, ich meinte "von Hand eingetragen" - das ist nämlich eine ziemliche Arbeit... Ich hatte vorhin mal mein Foto von Neubauer und Thunberg in die Bildersuche eingetragen und dabei wohl 50 oder mehr Nutzungen gefunden (aber versehentlich das Browserfenster geschlossen, bevor ich zählen konnte) und es dann so empfunden, dass es wirklich aufwendig wäre, das alles rauszukopieren und in Templatefelder einzutragen. Es gibt (gab?) ja auf Meta (?) einen monatlichen Pressespiegel mit Artikeln über Wikipedia/Wikimedia. Ich dachte, dort oder woanders hätte da vielleicht mal jemand eine Zusammenstellung gemacht ("FFF-Berichterstattung unter Zuhilfenahme von WP" vielleicht). --C.Suthorn (talk) 15:36, 31 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Die meisten Vorschläge von dem Tool sind halt quatsch. Bei Bildern von Demonstrationen wird "visuelles lernen" vorgeschlagen, da das mit "demonstration" übersetzt ist, wenn Englisch als Sprache eingestellt ist gibt es aber keine Möglichkeit den Fehler zu erkennen. Wenn du es noch nicht gemacht hast, guck dir mal COM:DEPICTS an.

Zu diesem Fall: "Architektur" als Motiv, soll das an jeden Bauwerk? "Vorort", ich war vor Ort(hihi), dass ist jedenfalls kein Vorort. "Haus", stimmt, geht aber genauer. "Himmel", stimmt eigentlich, kann aber auch an fast jedes Foto. "Wohngebiet", hier ist eine Ferienhaussiedlung, ist für mich kein Wohngebiet.(Natürlich auf dem Foto nicht erkennbar) "Wohnsitz", ist ein Konzept kann also nicht das Motiv eines Fotos sein, höchstens das Thema. "Wolken", stimmt, auch wenn die genauer Wolkenart besser wäre. bald ist es soweit: Vom 1. Mai bis zum 30. Juni 2020 findet zum achten Mal der internationale Wettbewerb Wiki Loves Earth statt. Deutschland ist zum siebten Mal dabei. Dabei können unter anderem Nationalparks, Naturschutzgebiete, Geotope und Naturdenkmäler fotografiert und die Fotos hochgeladen werden. Du hast an einem der vergangenen Fotowettbewerbe teilgenommen. Dieses Jahr ist es aufgrund der Ausgangsbeschränkungen schwieriger aktuelle Fotos zu machen, deshalb läuft der Wettbwerb dieses Mal zwei Monate. Es sind wie immer viele spannende Motive überall in Deutschland zu finden. Neben Naturdenkmälern wie alten Bäumen oder Naturparks im Gebirge und am Meer können Geotope wie Quellen und Aufschlüsse oder FFH-Gebiete fotografiert werden, um sie unter anderem in der Wikipedia zu dokumentieren. In den letzten Jahren sind zahlreiche neue Listen und Artikel in diesen Bereichen entstanden, für die wir uns über Fotos freuen. Als Einstieg für die Suche nach Motiven hilft diese Übersichtsseite. Weitere Informationen erhältst du hier und vor allem unter dieser Anleitung. Falls du im Moment nicht wie sonst in die Natur fahren kannst, findest du vielleicht in den Tiefen deiner Festplatte oder auf dem Smartphone noch interessante Fotos.

Du möchtest am Wettbewerb teilnehmen, dir fehlt aber die richtige Technik? Dann wirf doch mal einen Blick in den Technikpool und das Technikleihportal von Wikimedia Deutschland! Dort findest du Kameras, Objektive und Zubehör verschiedenster Art. Sollte noch Technik fehlen, die deiner Meinung nach angeschafft werden sollte, freut sich Wikimedia Deutschland über dein Feedback zum Technikpool.

Außerdem laden wir Dich ein, vom 1. Mai bis 31. Juli 2020 an der Vorjury teilzunehmen. Diese bewertet die hochgeladenen Bilder und ermittelt so gemeinsam mit der Jury, die im August tagen wird, die Sieger von Wiki Loves Earth 2020 in Deutschland. These statements are nonsense added with the Commons:Structured data/Computer-aided tagging tool without proper reviewing the suggestions made by the tool. As these are general problems with the tool and this happening to many images I always rollback this to safe time and notify the user. As these are more edits revert would need more edits too. No, the vegetation on these image is not the potential natural vegetation of that place. See en:Natural landscape for the definition. It is impossible to say if the landscape on a picture is a natural landscape without any further information. And generally "natural landscape" a concept in the environmental science not a real thing that could be the depict of a picture. Additionally there are many different definitions of "natural landscape" including some saying that there is no "natural landscape" on earth any more. Ich habe eine Kategorie für einen einen anderen Seebach erstellt und da es für diesen scheinbar noch keine Kategorie gab wollte ich Verwechselungen vermeiden. Danke für die vielen Bilder zum Kammerlochwasserfall. Das Kammerloch ist ein Geotop, zum Geotop-Steckbrief geht's hierlang: https://media.lgrb-bw.de/resources/link/gtk/gtk_1101.pdf Laut Steckbrief tritt ein Quellhorizont aus der Karwand, aus dem unzählige Quellen und Bäche stammen. Der Quellhorizont sorgt für den Wasserfall. Eins deiner Bilder habe ich verwendet in https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liste_der_Geotope_im_Landkreis_Freudenstadt. ich glaube, in Brandenburg gibt es noch kein einheitliches Schema.

Die ID ist im OSL-Kreis einheitlich. (z. B. 1110-1). Die ersten zwei Ziffern sind wohl vergebenen für die amtsfreien Städte und gemeinden. Ziffer drei und vier ein nummerierung der Ort in der Stadt/Amt/amtsfreier Gemeinde. letzte Ziffern eine Nummerierung. in vielen Kreisen in Brandenburg haben wir in unseren Listen keine ID oder nur eine fortlaufende Nummer.

im LK Havelland haben wir de:Liste_der_Naturdenkmale_in_Falkensee eine vierstellige laufende Nummer mit einem Buchstaben der kennzeichnet, worum es es sich handelt, zb. Baum oder Baumgruppe.

Was denkst du über Property für LK-ID

Es gibt keine genauen Regeln, aber ab 100 wäre eine Property auf jeden Fall sinnvoll, wenn es für jeden Landkreis eine eigenen braucht ist das halt so. Das Formular unter d:Wikidata:Property proposal/Authority control ist bei den wichtigsten Punkten recht simpel(die anderen angaben sind meist sowieso nicht wichtig). Die Attribute finde ich gut, sehr viel mehr gibt es ja nicht immer so einfach. Ich habe das Proposal an das korrekte Format angepasst. Der Präfix um Wikidata zu verlinken ist übrigens d: ohne | und items und properties können ganz einfach über die Vorlagen Q und P verlinkt werden. inception (P571) finde ich auch passend, aber in jedem Fall mit der Angabe ob sich das auf die Pflanzung/Selbstaussaat des Baums oder die Unterschutzstellung bezieht. --GPSLeo (talk) 09:55, 7 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

ich hab noch was... wenn ich es richtig überblicke, sind die FFH-Gebiete der de:Liste der FFH-Gebiete in Sachsen bereits in Wikidata. aber nur mit der WDPA ID (P809) und ohne "EEA-ID" und "BfN-ID". Die IDs sollten wir wohl auch noch für Wikidata beantragen. hast du ne idee, wie man danach einfach die Daten bei den entsprechenden WD-objekten hinterlegen kann. Die EAA-ID, die in diesem Fall der NATURA-2000-ID entspricht Teilt sich eine Eigenschaft mit der CDDA-ID. Die Website ist die gleiche nur die Komplettdownloads sind getrennt. Die BfN-ID fehlt tatsächlich. Es gibt halt nur nicht "die BfN-ID", sondern in diesem Fall auch nur die NATURA-2000-ID, aber halt mit Link auf die BfN Seite. Das macht es natürlich super einfach die direkt überall hinzu zu fügen. Die Property dafür ist auf jeden Fall sinnvoll, auch wenn die Seite bisher keine anderen Infos als die anderen bietet, außer dass sie auf deutsch ist natürlich. --GPSLeo (talk) 14:11, 11 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Du hattest nur vergessen das Foto in die Kategorie vom LSG ein zu sortieren. Das die Info in der Beschreibung stand habe ich irgendwie übersehen. You added many totally bad statements. As an example hydrosphere (Q83169), that is a concept, nothing that can be seen on an image, the same with natural landscape (Q1286517). Wiki Loves Monuments 2020[edit]

bald ist es soweit: Vom 1. bis zum 30. September 2020 findet zum zehnten Mal der internationale Wettbewerb Wiki Loves Monuments statt. Dabei können Bau-, Boden- und Kulturdenkmale fotografiert und die Fotos hochgeladen werden. Du hast an einem der vergangenen Fotowettbewerbe teilgenommen. Deshalb laden wir dich gern wieder ein, dieses Jahr mitzumachen. Wir freuen uns auf deine Fotos!

Obwohl es den Wettbewerb seit zehn Jahren gibt, sind immer noch viele Motive überall in Deutschland zu fotografieren. Neben beeindruckenden märchenhaften Schlössern, Burgen und Kirchen können auch andere Kulturdenkmale wie Brücken, Industrieruinen, Bauernhöfe oder Parks fotografiert werden, um sie unter anderem in der Wikipedia zu dokumentieren. GPS in Fotos[edit]

Du hast das "GPS" ja sogar im Benutzernamen, also frag ich mal hier auf der Disk. statt im Forum. Ich habe früher Nikon DSLR mit GPS-Loggern auf dem Blitzschuh verwendet. Mit dieser Lösung war ich sehr zufrieden: https://www.fahrradmonteur.de/Solmeta_N3_Kompa%C3%9F - funktioniert aber seit Jahren nicht mehr. Seit dem ist mir nichts mehr begegnet, was benutzerfreundlich genug wäre, mir zu gefallen. Ich benutze DSLR nicht mehr, bin auf Fujifilm-X umgestiegen. Dafür finde ich keine solchen Geräte. Irgendwie weiß ich, daß es GPS-Logger gibt, die mit wenig Strom Millionen Punkte recht zuverlässig aufzeichnen. Mir ist klar, daß man die Uhren von Logger und Kamera synchronisieren muß, sonst funktioniert das nicht. Ich arbeite nicht mit Linux und seit Jahrzehnten nicht mehr mit Kommandozeile, suche irgendwas "bequemes" Kannst du mir da was empfehlen? Naiv wie ich bin, wäre mir am liebsten, mein Handy dafür zu benutzen, da ich es ja sowieso immer dabei habe ;) Die Software von Fujifilm kann das aber sie verlangt, daß beide Geräte ständig eingeschaltet sind, andernfalls muß man ständig neu manuell verbinden. Der Stromverbrauch ist dabei einfach zu hoch. Gibt es eine Lösung für OPA wie mich, idiotensicher? Das GPS in meinem Namen kommt gar nicht daher, aber da ich versuche auch möglichst alle Fotos aus der freien Natur zu geotaggen. Adapter für die Kamera gibt es soweit ich weiß nur für Nikon und Canon. Ich zeiche aktuell einfach einen Track auf dem IPhone auf, da nehme ich OSMAnd, aber nur weil ich die dann meist sowieso als Karte benutze, braucht natürlich recht viel Strom, aber halt auch nicht von der Kamera. Das tolle ist, dass sich mit der neuen Lumix App die Zeit in der Kamera mit dem Smartphone synchronisieren lässt und so die Daten perfekt zusammen passen, ob das die Fuji-App auch kann weiß ich nicht. Direkten koppel bietet die App auch an, dass funktioniert aber überhaupt nicht. Zum verknüpfen nehme ich das EXIFTool, ist das einzige was ich kenne, dass das kann. Next Commons Photographers meeting featuring large format photographer Ben Horne[edit]

Dear member of the Commons Photographers User Group,

Our first external guest, Ben Horne, will talk about large format wilderness photography, followed by a question-and-answer session. Ben is maybe one of best known contemporary large format photographers in the United States. On his excursions to national parks, he shoots 8×10 film and talks about his adventures on his YouTube channel which has attracted more than 48,000 followers so far. Dabei können unter anderem Nationalparks, Naturschutzgebiete, Geotope und Naturdenkmäler fotografiert und die Fotos hochgeladen werden. Du hast an einem der vergangenen Fotowettbewerbe teilgenommen. Deshalb laden wir dich ein, auch dieses Jahr wieder mitzumachen. Wir freuen uns auf deine Fotos!

Wie du bei den Top 5 des vergangenen Jahres siehst, sind vor allem Tiere unter den Siegerbildern. Aus diesem Grund setzen wir den Fokus dieses Jahr stärker auf Landschaftsaufnahmen. Aber natürlich haben auch Tierbilder eine Chance zu gewinnen.

Es sind wie immer viele spannende Motive überall in Deutschland zu finden. Neben Naturdenkmälern wie alten Bäumen oder Naturparks im Gebirge und am Meer können Geotope wie Findlinge, Quellen und Aufschlüsse oder FFH-Gebiete fotografiert werden, um sie unter anderem in der Wikipedia zu dokumentieren. Auch im vergangenen Jahr sind zahlreiche neue Listen und Artikel in diesen Bereichen entstanden, für die wir uns über Fotos freuen. Als Einstieg für die Suche nach Motiven hilft diese Übersichtsseite. Weitere Informationen erhältst du bei WLE 2021 - Deutschland und unter dieser Anleitung. Falls du im Moment nicht wie sonst in die Natur fahren kannst, findest du vielleicht in den Tiefen deiner Festplatte oder auf dem Smartphone noch interessante Fotos.

Could you please proofread this article to check for accuracy of German translations and the narrative? If you could correct it or add missing essential details, it would be greatly appreciated.

Also in visual editing it is possible to "insert > map" and there mark the route of the protest, if you are more familiar with the map of the city.

This is not my strong topic area and I am writing about it at Wikinews primarily because my friend saw these photos when patrolling recent uploads, and suggested to write a news story. This is a bit difficult for me because of the foreign language and I would greatly appreciate your assistance.

Im Herzen Deutschlands in Thüringen und in Niedersachsen sind neue Denkmallisten entstanden, die auf Fotos warten. Übrigens in der Hauptstadt Thüringens in Erfurt findet dieses Jahr die WikiCon vom 1. bis 3. Oktober statt. Dies könnte man mit einem Foto-Kurzurlaub vor der WikiCon in Thüringen verbinden …

Vor dem Hintergrund der Flutkatastrophe 2021 haben wir auch drei Sonderpreise ausgelobt. Damit sollen Fotos prämiert werden, die Kulturdenkmale zeigen, die zerstört wurden. Das Foto kann das Objekt vor oder nach der Zerstörung zeigen.

Commons Photographers User Group: first board election[edit]

Dear member of the Commons Photographers User Group,

In preparation of the first board election of our group, I invite you to take a look at the following page:

and provide feedback. I've listed a number of positions for our first board and I've also outlined a possible timeline for the elections. The current plan is to open the self-nomination process up on November 15 and then have the election start on December 1.

Ist jetzt eingefügt, mal schaun ob das Bild sich hält. Die Bilder Demo sind übrig. gar nicht in Category:Hedonist_International kategorisiert.
